I used them as decorative pillows mostly, so I wasnt abusing them by sleeping on them etc. Mild shedding gradually turned to severe, very severe shedding. These pillows poke through 2 pillow cases leaving feathers everywhere! I don't even keep them on my bed anymore because I am tired of falling asleep and getting jabbed by feathers or waking up with feathers in my hair and PJs... remember... this is after I remove these pillows off my bed before I go to sleep. I don't throw them around either, I just place them on a chair when I go to sleep. I don't normally write reviews and I don't think I have ever given a 1 star review but when people stop you and point out that you have feathers stuck in your pants or hair simply because I sat on my bed for a moment while dressed and didnt catch it, its a problem. I would think maybe I got a bad pillow but they are both like this! I am going to post a picture taken from my cell phone so it isnt going to be the best quality pic but it should be able to give you an idea.
