(More customer reviews)I wanted a nice down comforter for a while and decided to scoop one up before this years winter, where my loft gets cold when the temp drops to negative 40(interior Alaska). After reading some of the reviews about a wide variety of real down comforters, I noticed that all seemed to complain about leaking feathers and whatnot so i decided maybe an alternative might be the ticket.
when i saw the symphony of good reviews on this product and its great price + super saver shipping i ordered it. Shopping around town for a duvet cover I came across a down alternative blanket which felt nothing like the real down blanket next to it. I was bummed and wondered why i had order a down alternative so halfheartedly and questioned what i would do with it when i came; if I'd even open the box. When i did come i checked it out and was stoked at how DOWN-LIKE THIS DUVET INSERT REALLY FEELS. I'm not a connoisseur or anything, but I could barley tell the difference. Unlike the other down alternatives i had come across.
It's warm, not ridiculously thick but thick, and comes out of the spaciously packed box already fluffy.

I left it to air out for a couple hours and it fluffed up nice. The baffle-box design is legit and keeps the feathers in place for even distribution. The 1200 thread count will smooth out over time and is very luxurious and cool to the touch after use. It is very warm and breathes well; it is as comfortable as you can get for the price, and it is worth every penny.

(More customer reviews)This arrived very quickly and I had it on the bed the same night. We use it inside a duvet cover and with flannel sheets and honestly it is incredibly warm. The one we received was very well made, good baffle boxes sewn all the way around and through to keep filling in place, edges very sturdy with roping, it looks like it will hold up very well. We have used it about a week now and it is not very heavy but we find it to be plenty warm. It covers our standard king (not california) quite well but does not hang over the sides much. All in all, we are really happy with this purchase.

(More customer reviews)I was disappointed in this product. True, it is advertised as "lightweight," but I was stunned to see how little down it actually holds. Most of the baffle boxes had so little down in them, you could easily see daylight through the comforter when held in the air. On the "warmth scale" printed on the package, this one rates 2 out of 7. Wish they'd have added that critical information to the product description.

Better than Down All-Season Comforter Review

(More customer reviews)I received this comforter just before the weather hit 15 degrees in Seattle the week before Thanksgiving - Nice timing! I was looking for an oversized king which this one is close to being. It is very warm! (I have another alternative down comforter that is even heavier on fill than this one that is not nearly as warm once you are under it.) The microfiber cover is super, super soft and the fluffy fill material really feels like its down inside - even though its not. The box stitching however, leaves much to be desired. Because it is microfiber, it doesn't slide against other blankets or sheets well. On one hand, this is good as it stays put (doesn't end up sliding to the floor); on the other hand, its only barely single-stiched, so some of the "rugged, double-needle stitching" has already torn by just trying to pull the blanket up when making the bed. The one I received is NOT double-stitched for the baffle-boxes but it is double stitched around the outer edges. I also wish it was offered in other colors - its only in White and I would have preferred cream or beige. Overall, $50 for a warm, soft, over-sized king duvet is a pretty darn good deal!

I read the description of this product and thought the price was excellent. 1200 Thread count caught my eye, instantly(as I'm sure they wanted it to.) When this product came in, I was a bit skeptical. The package was very light and small(for the kingsize model I purchased). However....when I unwrapped this comforter and slept under it the first night.... I was in heaven. Ive never owned a Goose Down comforter, but this is very nice and warm. I live in Seattle and we had a week of 20 degree nights this winter. This item did it's job and more. I highly recommended this to anyone thinking of buying this comforter. I would suggest buying a duvet?(hope I spelled it right)

(More customer reviews)What a great purchase. I had been looking for a new down comforter: light-weight, warm, and 100% down. This was just the ticket. It is literally "light as a feather" so it's like sleeping under a cloud. It's thin and very light-weight, but incredibly warm and delicious to snuggle into. The baffle construction keeps the down in place so there are no "cold spots." I put it in a duvet cover and that, along with a light blanket, is enough to keep me toasty warm at night (I keep my house very cool - sometimes as low as 50 degrees - and it's wonderfully cozy under the comforter).

We had been using two and even three blankets before receiving this one. We have retired the others--the Pinzon alone provides all the warmth we need. This is a first-rate product and I highly recommend it.

(More customer reviews)The name of this product is very misleading: it contains only 5% down. It is also noisy--the lining makes a relatively loud crinkling sound like plastic. This may still go away, I have no idea. Other reviewers report feathers sticking out and poking people after just a few weeks. But it costs 1/10 what a nice down comforter does...so...you get what you pay for. To its credit, it is warm, has nice loft, and is light.
